Phish closed out an instant classic summer tour tonight at their third show in as many nights at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO. The opening “A Song I Heard The Ocean Sing,” “Meat,” the first appearance of “Guelah Papyrus” of the year, a roaring “We Love Dick’s” chant during the break in “Divided Sky” and an ambient, Gordo-driven lead up to “David Bowie” were standouts from set one. Set two kicked off with a well-played and extensive “Carini,” an interesting and multi-faceted “Piper” brought back the woos and Peter Tosh’s “Legalize It” made its first appearance ever during Mike’s Groove. Just before the encore break during “Suzy Greenberg,” Trey heartily thanked the crowd for being the best fanbase on Earth and for thirty great years, looking on the verge of tears. Also, for the second straight summer (he also attended the Long Beach show on 8/15/12), Justin Bieber was seen in the audience taking in the show with his touring guitarist Dan Kanter (photo proof below). Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage was spotted in the crowd. Continue below for the setlist and fan reactions.

Solid first set, nothing strayed too far off the beaten path. Loved the It's Ice breakdown. Good Bowie too

The Washingtonian in me needs to point out that Dick's is the SECOND legal venue they've played. #gorgeWasFirst.
