Rush | 2007 Tour Dates - LIVE music blog

When I was in high school, I probably listened to the Rush live album, Exit…Stage Left, more than any of piece of music. Seriously.

I never really got a good chance to catch them live at the time and I eventually fell out of love with it. It was half-novelty for me because I wasn’t a fan of a lot of their songs — way too 80’s synth by the time I got around to hearing more of their catalog beyond “Freewill” and “Spirit of Radio” — but I was a huge fan of their drummer, Neal Peart. I was aspiring young drummer myself at the time and I was on a steady diet of Rush and The Police for a very long portion of my early musical growth…

Rush just keeps coming back, though. Whether or not that’s a good thing — well, let’s just wait for the real music critics to decide on that question. They’ve got a new album coming out — Snakes & Arrows — and they’re following it up with a massive world tour. Crazy Canadians.
