It’s always a fun game within the Phish community to see what rumors will start popping up before a tour and to follow the series of debunking efforts that the more-informed Phish fans go through for the n00bs that believe everything they read on PT. This year the whole buzz has been around the 30th Anniversary dates that the band might bust out as part of their “big” year that was hyped last year in the press, and people have been throwing out “Hampton this” or “Philly that” for months now.
Not to mention the rumored Halloween return to Atlantic City — the community has been abuzz for a week or so now hoping that the rumor that the band will return to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City for a three-night run starting on Halloween is indeed a true one. When a column at a local news affiliate ran a certain guess that the band would be coming back soon, it was definitely a sign of dates coming soon and it caused a mighty stir of speculation and hotel reserving. Today, after LookTVonline.com ran with this story (via JamBase) — all signs are pointing to the fact that the rumored dates we see floating around are the right ones.
Without further ado, here are the dates we’re seeing that Phish will be booked for during their brief fall tour:
RUMORED CONFIRMED: Phish 2013 Fall Tour Dates
10/18-20 Hampton Coliseum, Hampton, VA
10/22 Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial, Rochester, NY (just confirmed via Ticketmaster).
10/23 Glens Falls Civic Center, Glens Falls, NY
10/25-26 DCU Center Arena, Worcester, MA
10/27 XL Center, Hartford, CT
10/29 Sovereign Center, Reading, PA
10/31-11/2 Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ
As always, take the dates above with a grain of salt until we get official confirmation from the band, which I’m told can come as early as today. But these have been at least partially sourced against some people that know a lot more than myself and we’re feeling pretty confident they’re correct. Book those hotels, phans.
UPDATE (7/24): The official dates have been announced and all dates above have been confirmed.
