I know a few friends that caught the last Roger Waters tour and they were absolutely floored by how good the shows were. And for any of the fans that may have missed him over the past year or so, he recently revealed to Rolling Stone that he’ll be doing The Wall tour once again during 2012 and focusing specifically on the markets he may have missed the first time around.
The story preview is over at RollingStone.com ahead of the next issue’s newsstand release on Friday, 9/30…
“There are quite a few markets we didn’t cover last time, like Austin,” he says in an interview for the new issue of Rolling Stone, on stands and available through Rolling Stone All Access on September 30th. “But we want to base the tour around Saturday nights in baseball stadiums. As we speak, I’m at my office working on an outdoor version of the show.”
The post also mentions that Waters has successfully tested out the show lighting system at Fenway Park, Wrigley Field and Yankee Stadium so look ahead mentally on that one and make sure you pay attention when those shows are announced next year. He’s not likely keeping that show going much longer; dude’s getting old! Although you wouldn’t think that after seeing him rock out on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night for Pink Floyd week as he lead the Foo Fighters through “In The Flesh.” Check out the video here…
