Today would have been the 60th birthday of pop funk legend Prince, and rather than putting a sour note on the day by celebrating what could have been, the Estate has decided to dig into the archives and announce a release of a new live album called Piano and A Microphone: 1983.
The live album was put on tape recorded 35 years ago during a rehearsal at Prince’s home studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota, and the LP will be released on September 21st, 2018. They’ve also released the first song from the disc, “Mary Don’t You Weep,” which you can stream below.
