Fresh off their Full Flex Express Tour across Canada with Skrillex, Pretty Lights, Diplo and more, KOAN Sound is riding the high train of the movement towards a more experimental dubstep with guys like Tipper leading the way. Two Fresh came with the trill sounds we all know and love from their albums. And Stratus is always a guaranteed treat. The Chicagoan has found his niche in a very OWSLA sounding place even producing a track for the OWSLA “Free Treats Vol II” mixtape. Though I’ll always prefer the older Stratus that made “Soulflex,” I can definitely get down to this newer sound as well, and it’s certainly more fitting for a live performance.
