We all know professional athletes start to get used to the life of luxury and VIP access once they sign those big ticket contracts, but every now and again that sense of entitlement doesn’t work out so well for them and those egos involved get that pro athlete in trouble outside of the arena.
This past weekend, Josh Jackson, a wing for Phoenix Suns, was trying to get himself a better spot by sneaking into the VIP area at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami, Florida, and a cop gave him a warning before catching him again and transporting him out in cuffs as a result of the dumb behavior.
The incident, as detailed in the arrest affidavit obtained from the Miami-Dade County Police Department by The Arizona Republic, lists the arresting charges for escape and “resisting officer without violence to his person” as a felony and a misdemeanor, respectively.
He really had a chance to walk back from this one, too.
Jackson left the area, but he returned again without the proper pass and was asked to leave. The officer then attempted to “escort” him from the area when Jackson “pulled away” from him. Manzelli then grabbed Jackson’s arm and told him he had to leave, but Jackson pulled his arm away.
He’ll probably get a fine, which won’t be his first.
The Suns said in a statement that they were “aware of the report and in the process of gathering more information.”
Rolling Loud featured hip hop giants like Migos, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, Cardi B, Lil Uzi Vert and much much more. Good one, dude.
