Phish closed a two-night run in St. Louis last night with a heavy nod to the hometown St. Louis Blues NHL fans as they clinched the Stanley Cup final right as the band was heading into setbreak.
Some incredible playing throughout the show, especially the Kasvot Käxt jam “We Are Come To Outlive Our Brains.”
But the “Gloria” will be the thing people are talking about for a while. And we can almost overshadow that with the perfect slot two choice that fell right after, a raging cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Loving Cup,” a longtime setlist staple that just felt too perfect right there.
Other amazing thing that happened was the debut of Ghosts of the Forest “About to Run” which was played by Phish for the first time. Then the band also ripped into a very rarely played “Mr. Completely,” definitely giving fans a full value front to back for making the trek to Missouri.
Here’s the setlist from Night Two… the band now moves onto Bonnaroo and they’ll be webcasting their Sunday set for free via LivePhish.
