Phish is in the middle of their three-night run at The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington state and they’ve already dropped a highlight on their YouTube channel from what will likely become the jam of the run.
In the middle of set two on Night #1, the band dropped into a slinky “Camel Walk” and almost seemed like they were going to close it out as usual, but they seemed to find new life as the song ended and coalesced around a jam that turned out to be wildly creative, especially for the usual playing we see out of the song. The jam itself was awesome, and the transition into “Chalk Dust Torture” was great too. Definitely my highlight of the show while watching the webcast at home.
