Phish finished up their second of three nights at BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, right next door to Philadelphia.
With the band starting with “Mike’s Song” and keeping it a fully classic version with “I Am Hydrogen” and “Weekapaug Groove”, the band kept it very close to the 1.0 chest throughout the first set and only wavered with the “Everything’s Right” mid-set and a fantastic “Roggae > 46 Days” to close out the first set.
For the second set, the band started with a great “Blaze On” dance fest and got a great vibe going with the set. A great jam emerged, then Trey made a move towards “NICU” by teasing the full guitar lead part before the band just kinda rip-corded right into the song right away. My highlight listening from the couch was the “Golden Age > Ruby Waves” segment of the show, especially the jam that came out of the Ghosts of the Forest song.
Hard to complain about any part of any show where you get “You Enjoy Myself” and “Grind” in the encore slots. What a night. Hopefully Gritty makes it out tonight.
