When Phish raised their Baker’s Dozen banner at Madison Square Garden, I couldn’t help but wonder if we’d see that thing live on past this summer. Turns out that is indeed the case until someone tries to one-up the band and book 14 nights!
According to a source familiar with the situation, the venue plans on keeping the banner hanging in the MSG rafters. But there is a caveat — the banner could come down if another act surpasses the record number of 13 consecutive engagements. So long as no one tops the feat performed by Phish, the banner is safe.
Just think of the excitement in that… now Phish needs to DEFEND the title for year’s going forward. Hopefully Twiddle doesn’t get too big. 😂😂😂
