Phish’s first night at Alpine Valley just got started with “PYITE” as the opener. Radical. Here’s the setlist as it’s coming in from my buddies on the inside:

Report so far says that not much real jamming has occurred, except for an interesting section at the end of “Stash.” I’m guessing “Yamar” will bring some grooves to the crowd and loosen the band up a bit.

9:12pm – First set just ended. I’m told there wasn’t much jamming but a good set overall.
9:54pm – Second set starts with “Waves.”
10:04pm – On “Sample,” “great energy” is my next text.
