A few years back I had started listening to Perpetual Groove, a jamband with a penchant for perpetually jamming. Get it. We groove. We’re a jamband. I really didn’t stay with this band for too long before moving on to bigger and better music (at least to me at the time)…
They’ve put out two albums and built their fanbase up by touring like crazy and playing all the music festivals that every other jamband plays, and I’ve generally heard great things about them and their live show. I’ve never seen them myself, and I’m immediately floored at why I haven’t been more pulled-in by this band in the past after listening to a recent podcast I found on iTunes. This show alone has probably changed my opinion of this band’s music forever…
Here’s two tracks from that podcast (archive source) that you might enjoy; these were my favorite…
- Perpetual Groove – Two Shores (live, 11/8/06) [mp3]
- Perpetual Groove – Diggin’ in the Dirt (live, 11/8/06) [mp3]
They’ll be at Langerado for anyone that’s going — I’d suggest you give these guys a shot. They sound pretty sweet, if you ask me…
