For fans that have been around the jam/festival scene for a while, you might wonder ever-so-often what ever happened to the band, Particle? After a few lineup switchups and other projects ostensibly getting in the way, the band has made 2014 the year they’re going to return with a bang. With a new rhythm section behind band founder Steve Molitz, the future is looking bright for them and we’ll be eager to see how it translates.
Particle has announced that they will be touring extensively from coast to coast in 2014 for the first time in nearly six years. The band will be hitting the East Coast and Southeast on the first leg of their tour, and they’ll be making a stop at the Aura Music Festival in Live Oak, FL along the way. Then they head out to the West Coast and Midwest later this Spring, before ending their tour with a Jazz Fest late night at the legendary Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans, LA. In addition to a heavy touring schedule, the band will be releasing its first full-length studio album since Launchpad (2004).
