Bob Weir & Wolf Bros are on the last set of dates on their spring tour, and tonight down in Miami Beach at the Fillmore, they welcomed Phish keyboardist Page McConnell to help kick off the second set.
Page gave some key tickles to one of my favorite set openers, “Hell in a Bucket,” before segueing into “Scarlet Begonias.”
As far as I know this is the first time Page has ever sat in with Bob Weir like this, but we love the idea of him adding piano on top of the trio of Bob Weir, Don Was and Jay Lane.
