Billboard is reporting that Outkast is potentially reuniting at Coachella 2014, which would be the start of a full reunion run throughout 2014 including other festival slots. #HUGE.
The Atlanta hip-hop duo is indeed in talks to reunite next year for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, multiple sources have confirmed to Billboard. Under the current plan, Coachella, which kicks off on Apr. 11, 2014 in Indio, Calif., would be the start of the reunion run and would be followed by additional festival dates in 2014.
Even more #HUGE: Revolt TV confirmed earlier today that the duo will indeed be reuniting for a tour next year, with no confirmation on Coachella yet but obviously a likely spot for the two to show off what they’ve been working on together. Maybe it’s new songs, maybe it’s not. Check it:
Big Boi has been no stranger to the festival circuit over the past few years, and there’s no doubt that the promoters behind the major festivals have tossed this idea his way at least 5,000 times. But, of course, as of right now, it’s just a rumor about talks happening and there’s a lot more that needs to be figured out before something like this is a done deal. Daft Punk is also a lock, right?
