The team at Newport Folk Festival have announced a Newport Folk Revival set for this coming June 18th as a celebration for what would have been Levon Helm‘s 80th Birthday. UPDATE: the lineup has been released also.

The event is called LEVON, a live webcast benefiting Levon Helm Studios & Newport Festivals Foundation featuring the Midnight Ramble Band and special guests! Tickets are on-sale now.
The organizers announced that they “had planned to present a very special set at the Fort this summer celebrating Levon Helm’s 80th birthday” but since the festivals have been postponed this year, they’re moving it to the Levon Helm Studios and doing something for audiences at home.
