Head over to the Instagram stories posted today by Phish bassist Mike Gordon, who’s in the middle of getting ready for an upcoming solo band tour following an eventful 2019 with Phish and a massive year-end closing run at Madison Square Garden.
In the video, Gordo notes that he’s with his percussionist/multi-instrumentalist Craig Myers and that they’re working to decipher the technology behind what is the world’s first dual analog and MIDI n’goni harp, built by Ben Lewry over the past couple years. It’s also got the light-up color panels that match the instruments that Scott Murawski and Mike Gordon play live that can be controlled by the lighting board.
Always the innovator, this just adds to the already huge set of reasons why you don’t want to skip the Mike Gordon Band when they roll through your town. Tickets are still available for some shows here.
Update: Cactus uploaded the full video with a link here.
Finally ! Our MIDI n’goni is in hand for this upcoming tour! Gonna open up a whole new world of sound. Tix https://t.co/I8yi8uMo3Q pic.twitter.com/qRU5KaYzQP
