R.E.M.‘s enigmatic frontman Michael Stipe took to social media yesterday to drop a new demo track that he’s been working on with The National‘s Aaron Dessner.
Dessner confirmed the demo and said that “Michael Stipe has been a great hero and friend to me” and that he never imagined being able to write songs together, but in our new normal of social isolation it makes sense that we could see more from this duo in the future. The song is beautiful.
