Many bands seem to be announcing fall tours right now. Rock and Roll Daily ran with the news that Metallica had announced their Fall 2008-Winter 2009 tour dates supporting their upcoming release of Death Magnetic. I wonder if their Bonnaroo appearance this year will have any affect on their tour audience, but I also highly doubt that it did anything but bring a new element to Bonnaroo that may not have otherwise been there already. Metallica has always been their own kinda monster — didn’t they make a movie about that already? — so expect this tour to be a monster of its own.
