Man Man | Fall 2008 Tour Dates

Man Man is going out on tour soon, a band I last caught with Yeasayer at Logan Square Auditorium right before I moved out west. Man that show ruled. Man Yeasayer got really boring and trippy — which was cool and all — but man did Man Man man all over the crowd that night, man.

Sigh.

At any rate, Man Man is touring on support of a new album called Rabbit Habbits that I’ve yet to get a listen to and they’re not playing San Francisco this time around (or it hasn’t been announced yet), so I won’t be catching them in the very near future. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t; that show in Chicago was absolutely tremendous and I vowed to never miss another show by this band if I’m in the vicinity. They’re just too much fun to watch and listen to.

Plus, the guy that started break-dancing after the concert was over kinda confirmed that these guys seem to have a bit of stage presence that becomes infectious. I felt like painting my face and storming a village after that show. I wasn’t the only one either. There was more bromance in the front five rows than you’d see at a Fleet Foxes show, and yet there was plenty of moshpit violence that seemed to keep everyone a bit on-edge. We actually saw a girl come out from the front row area with a bloody nose, clearly evident on her riot-girl style wife-beater. And about five minutes later, we saw that same girl head right back up into the crowd after cleaning herself off a bit. That is some serious dedication.
