The Made in America Festival in Philadelphia has announced its return! This year’s festival will be headlined by Justin Bieber, Lil Baby, and Megan Thee Stallion and will return after a two-year hiatus over Labor Day weekend, September 4th and 5th, 2021.
The festival is produced by Roc Nation and curated by JAY-Z, with proceeds going to the REFORM Alliance as well as the Philadelphia ACLU, the festival’s primary partner. JAY-Z said “Cause Village will host a wider range of amazing philanthropic opportunities.” According to Variety, the REFORM Alliance is based out of Arkansas and advocates for criminal justice and prison reform.
Mayor of Philadelphia Jim Kenney is excited for the festival to return, according to The Inquirer. He looks forward to the economic benefits of the festival. Covid restrictions were lifted earlier this month so the city is allowing large capacity events.
The festival will be held on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Other acts in the lineup include Bobby Shmurda, Lil Durk, A$AP Ferg, Freddy Gibbs and Moneybagg Yo. JAY-Z says “this year will be like no other, as Made In America celebrates 10 years of music history making moments. We look forward to sharing incredible memories with our festival attendees and the city of Philadelphia.”
