“Children in Africa are dying all the time from malaria and TB. The crappy thing is, it doesn’t have to be that way. The wicked awesome thing is, we can do something about it.” –Some Awful VJ Whose Name I Don’t Know
There were a few positive highlights from MTV’s coverage of this weekend’s Live 8 concerts, but mostly I have terrible things to say. And Mom Cowboy always warned her son, “If you don’t have anything nice to say…”
But if you’d like to see some of the day’s performances for the first time, or if you want to re-live some of the genuinely cool moments from the weekend, AOL is hosting the festivies on its website. If you haven’t seen the stuff out of London, get on it immediately.
The Brits got to see a kickass concert: McCartney and U2, the Floyd reunion, The Who, Coldplay with the dude from the Verve, Snoop Dogg, Velvet Revolver, Elton John, Sting, Madonna and more. Sickness!
