While it’s unfortunate to see that The Complete Last Waltz gang didn’t get their Kickstarter funded, they aren’t letting it slow them down from pushing forward on releasing something. Today they posted a crispy mastered copy of “The Night They Drove Dixie Down”, which was fronted by Cass McCombs, as a free download via sendspace. Immediately it brings back all the great memories from that concert and I was hoping I was going to get to re-live it via a DVD release, but maybe that’s not in the cards for now. So, for now, all we get is this download and the hope of seeing it all happen again on November 23rd at the Capitol Theatre.
