On Record Store Day, MGMT released their new single “Alien Days” via a commemorative cassette or what they labeled as a “cassingle.” This week, the psych-rockers uploaded that very song to Soundcloud, a track we’re guessing will also be included on the forthcoming third LP due in August. MGMT will tour ahead of the new release starting this Friday, April 26th in Philly and wrapping May 18th in Palo Alto, CA. You can listen to “Alien Days” below, which already hints at being more experimental than Congratulations. Everyone is still waiting for them to top their debut Oracular Spectacular which appeared on many Best of 2008 lists.
