Glass Animals have been on steady rotation over here since our friend-of-friend sent their album ZABA our way a few weeks back, and I was psyched to read Molly’s post about their recent show at Hollywood Forever Cemetery to see how their live show is shaping up as a relatively new band on the scene. This was the part that really jumped out at me:
Without question the best moment of the show came when the band announced they were about to cover Kanye’s “Love Lockdown”. It was one of those live cover moments that you realllllly expect to fail – how could this work?! But somehow, it’s absolutely brilliant.
Sure enough, as promised, we get to hear a version of that cover today as the band is releasing this on their next EP due out soon.
Not bad, not bad at all.
