Fans of the Mike Gordon and Leo Kottke collaborations that went down a few years back (2002 & 2005) have something to get excited about again, thanks to this Boston Globe piece that Hidden Track reported on. Phish bassist Mike Gordon and the 67-year old acoustic guitarist, Leo Kottke plan to “get together” and make some music according to the Globe. This time, they’ll be inviting Jon Fishman along. No word on when or where this will occur, but let’s hope it develops into a new release. We’ll be sure and keep you posted as it develops. Leo Kottke and Mike Gordon already have two albums together, Clone and Sixty Six Steps, which were a breath of fresh air when Phish was on hiatus.
The recording dormancy may end as Kottke and Gordon both confirmed plans for a get-together that will include Phish drummer Jon Fishman. – Boston Globe
