Ever since the official Led Zeppelin Facebook page came alive over the weekend, we’ve been tracking the countdown, starting with the number ‘five’ on Saturday, now down to ‘two’ today. The metal site Blabbermouth now reports that the countdown will end by announcing a mega, multi-medium release of the group’s 2007 reunion show at 02 Arena in London, just as we and others speculated over the weekend. Seems to be the logical conclusion of notably brilliant marketing campaign by the band that started as The New Yardbirds in 1968, long before Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, and Zepp’s apparent social network of choice: Facebook.
