Kurt Vile has announced a solo North American tour for next year, his first official “solo” jaunt in at least 10 years. No Violators this time, but he will be bringing Cate Le Bon along for the dates as well as Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint) and Stephen Black.
Tickets for some of the dates will go on sale tomorrow (Dec. 19th) at 10am local time, with more on-sales happening this Friday (Dec. 20). The tour will kick off in my hometown of Chicago at Thalia Hall and will take Vile to Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Nelsonville before visiting the Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, New York. He’ll also be doing two-night runs in Philadelphia, PA and Portland, OR and will be visiting Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown before closing the tour in Austin, Texas. He’s going to be busy. 💯
And $1 from every ticket will go to the voter registration, outreach and advocacy group HeadCount. This is the year to do it, folks. 👏🏻
