Khruangbin headlined the final night of Desert Daze with a 9pm time-slot perfectly geared towards the tired masses of the music festival needing one last jolt of some dance music to get the blood flowing. And wow did they deliver.
The set was pretty much 75 minutes of straight fire, mixing between their quick little nods and covers like “Night Nurse” and their hip-hop medley (easily teasing the Wu-Tang Clan sit-in that happened later that night). The big reveal was a new 90 seconds of instrumental Khruanginess in the form of Pink Floyd‘s epic, “Have A Cigar,” which had been sound-checked earlier in the day and made its way into the official set.
Watch the cover below.
.@Khruangbin did @PinkFloyd’s “Have a Cigar” during their @desertdaze set and it was absolutely PERFECT for the setting. This was before their epic Khru-Tang sit in, too. #khruangbin #DesertDaze2019 #desertdaze pic.twitter.com/7pF6yOkIgY
