John Mayer is back on the road after a small break of his summer tour, and now that he’s on Leg 2 and a few shows back, he once again took to his new source of musical inspiration, namely the Grateful Dead. At last night’s show in St. Louis, Mayer busted out “Fire on the Mountain” again. Scroll down to check it out.
Love it or hate it, it’s no denying that when he steps into the “Jerry” role of Dead & Company, some serious magic happens on stage between the group. They gel, they’re cohesive (when it counts), and frankly they’re still pushing the envelope and trying songs you wouldn’t expect them to try. So it’s fantastic to see that Mayer is bringing that vibe to his summer tour, especially given that he’s doing two sets now.

Here was the setlist from the show.
