Pretty Lights recently teased something called Island of Light but didn’t announce any more details about what was going down. Today we finally got some more details.
Island of Light is a tropical four-day destination event at the beautiful El Conquistador – a Waldorf Astoria Resort, located in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, taking place December 7-10, 2017. The lineup is going to be HUGE, too.
The internationally curated music festival will feature three nights of performances by the host artist & visionary Colorado producer, Derek Vincent Smith, better known to the world as Pretty Lights along with his live band. In addition, the lineup includes various other headliners from the live and electronic space including performances by boundary warping pioneers from Washington DC, Thievery Corporation, Minneapolis hip-hop legends Atmosphere, Slovenian funk & hip-hop producer Gramatik, Australia’s indie dance group Cut/Copy, and the ambient soundscapes of San Francisco’s Tycho, performing live & DJ sets.

Supporting the global music theme is Parisian producer, French Kiwi Juice, better known as FKJ for his unique blend of house & jazz, Brooklyn’s funk outfit Lettuce, the atmospheric production of Portland’s Emancipator Ensemble, Kansas-born electro-funk brothers by the name of The Floozies, the electro-soul x hip hop hybrid of Chicago’s Manic Focus, fresh off his new album Minds Rising, Belgium’s red hot dubstep duo Ganja White Night, and several more.
Island of Light attendees will be treated to a once-in-a-lifetime experience. With the main stage located on a private island that you boat to and from, to daytime poolside sets, and a late night ballroom experience; music will be plentiful and programmed around the clock. Additional experiential perks include world-class art installations, award-winning pools, high-end on-site restaurants, and the gorgeous Atlantic Ocean engulfed beach on the island.
Island of Light guests will receive an all-inclusive resort experience, including their lodging at the hotel, their concert ticket, buffet style meal options, drinks, and ground transportation between the San Juan airport and El Conquistador. In addition, guests will receive discounted rates on local adventure excursions, resort amenity access and the high end sit down restaurants on site.
Attendees who wish to extend their trip by coming earlier or staying later than the event dates can utilize the discounted daily rate offer of 15% off by mentioning Island of Light. All package prices will be announced on Wednesday, May 10th at 12 pm EST / 9 am PST.
