The lineup for High Sierra Music Festival was just announced and it’s absolutely a fantastic day for all my friends (based on my chat windows and the status updates I’m reading). We wait all year for this announcement locally because we know that High Sierra is one of the best festivals that all of us have ever been to around the country, and we now count our camp at this fest at least 60 people strong.
We know our festivals, and High Sierra is never one to miss.
And with the 2012 lineup featuring Ben Harper, STS9, Railroad Earth and Galactic all at the top of the first round of artist announced, well I’m thinking they may have themselves a sell-out potential this year. Joining them will be Soulive, Lettuce, Lotus, Toots and the Maytals, Built to Spill (!), Deer Tick, ALO, Marco Benevento, Nathan Moore, Skerik, Mike Dillon and so many more. And most importantly in a few ways, The Slip has been announced as well as Surprise Me Mr. Davis.
We’re in for a treat, folks. I, for one, cannot wait for Fourth of July here in beautiful Northern California and words may not be able to convey how much of a no-brainer this weekend will be for anyone looking to book some vacation time in the near future. As a reminder this year’s festival will start the day after the 4th so plan accordingly…
