Christmas came early this morning when Stromae announced several dates across the North America in the spring of 2015.
Beginning April 5th in Vancouver, BC, Stromae will work his way down the West Coast with stops in Seattle (4/6), Portland (4/7) and Oakland (4/9). Also announced today is a massive show at Madison Square Garden on October 10, 2015 —- so we’re hoping that means he’ll fill out the rest of the summer months with more US dates. And Coachella predictions are a dangerous game to play, but I’d say that Stromae’s cards are stacked: A show in Northern California the Thursday before Weekend One starts AND no listed Southern California dates despite extreme proximity to the LA market?? DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS.
If you’re still unfamiliar with the triple-threat worldwide musical sensation that is Stromae, it’s time that acquaint yourself. Rarely have I witnessed such a unique, impressive and dynamic performance. There is nothing in the world like Stromae. In Europe, he’s a Lady Gaga-esque icon, and he’s got his sights set on North America. His most recent release is his brilliant contribution to the Catching Fire: Part I soundtrack, “Meltdown” alongside Lorde, Pusha T, Q-Top and Haim.
