The Grateful Dead have released a pretty steady supply of collectibles over the past few years, but based on the artwork from this next one you may be hitting the pre-order link pretty quick on this next item. In an announcement from the band today, they confirmed that the “very first official Grateful Dead graphic novel is on the way.”
We’ve teamed up with to bring you Grateful Dead Origins, the tale of the band’s transformation from The Warlocks to the creators of their own sound and forefathers for the jamband culture.

Part of the announcement details out that there will be a limited edition Collectors Deluxe Edition and that will indeed feature an unreleased vinyl of Grateful Dead music from that “from the era” which could mean some really early stuff.
