The latest video on the Grateful Dead All The Years Live series on YouTube features a return to the setlist of “Big Boss Man” live at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California in 1990.

“A staple of the Pigpen-era Grateful Dead, Big Boss Man departed the repertoire when Pigpen departed the stage in 1972. Although it returned in 1981 for 15 performances over the next 15 years, it was sadly never incorporated into the setlist on a full time basis. This penultimate version features a gnarly lead vocal by Jerry.” – David Lemieux
