Oh man, you had to see this one coming a mile away once you caught up on that all that crazy news that was Fyre Festival this weekend. Now the founders are going to regret saying as much as they had, especially given that they’re already even saying they’re going to return in 2018.
Not if this new $100M lawsuit on behalf of one of the attendees has anything to say about it.
The suit was filed on Sunday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California by celebrity trial lawyer Mark Geragos, who is seeking class action status. Geragos filed suit electronically on Sunday on behalf of plaintiff Daniel Jung, who is seeking $5 million in damages for alleged fraud, breach of contract, breach of covenant of good faith and negligent misrepresentation.
This situation has gone from bad to worse, but we are happy to see that everyone is finally off the island safe.
