Last night at ‘s , the big payoff moment for the crowd was during the headlining set when brought out a ripping “Layla” that featured fellow bluesman and frequent collaborator of the guitarist, , as well as who adds a much needed depth and shreds when he needs to. Mayer also plays in the current version of the known as  and just finished a big solo tour.

The night before at Crossroads, Clapton actually sat in with Peter Frampton for the first time EVER and they delivered a killer version of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” which you can watch here.
