Eric Clapton welcomed Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi out for his encore last night at the Greenwich Town Party in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Oh sick. What did they play?
They ripped through an absolutely glorious version of “Crossroads” with all three of them taking turns getting their guitars to gently weep, and Susan even got a verse in.

How was Clapton’s set at the show?
Where’s Eric has some details on what went down at the show. Sounds like a scorcher.
Eric took the stage at 8:10pm and kicked things off with “Somebody’s Knockin'” from his most recent studio album, I Still Do. As the sun set on the hot humid day, he treated the crowd to the blues classics, “Key To The Highway” and “Hoochie Coochie Man” followed up by his only U.S. number one, “I Shot The Sheriff.” The set list followed the format of last year’s US concerts and the January gig in Paris.
Who was in his band?
The band backing him is comprised of Doyle Bramhall II, Nathan East, Chris Stainton, Walt Richmond, Sharon White, Sharlotte Gibson and newcomer Sonny Emory on drums. They made up the band backing up the encore of “Crossroads” in the video above. Really solid from the sounds of it.
What does Eric Clapton have coming up this year?
July gigs in Cologne, Hamburg and London’s Hyde Park then he heads back to the east coast of the U.S. in October for two concerts at Madison Square Garden.
Summer Plans for TTB?
Tedeschi Trucks Band have a busy year ahead with tour dates booked all over. Check out the dates here. They’ll be doing dates with Drive-By Truckers and The Marcus King Band, and they’ve also confirmed their huge Beacon Theatre run which is now in its 8th annual year.
I wouldn’t want to miss either one of them with the way they’re playing right now.
