From the Bisco site:
In light of the recent tragedy affecting the Gulf Coast from Hurricane Katrina, The Disco Biscuits and various artists will appear at benefit concert to take place next Tuesday, September 13 at Spirit nightclub in New York City.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, September 9th at 12:00 PM on Biscotix
The Disco Biscuits will perform with the very special drumming duo of Joe Russo and Mike Greenfield. Russo will also appear with two other acts — The Flying Circus, which also includes members of The Disco Biscuits, Fat Mama and Scott Metzger of Rana; and Danjaboots, featuring just Russo and Metzger. DJ Omen will also appear.
Chris Kuroda, well known for his work with Phish, will be working the massive light rig at Spirit, one of New York’s hottest danceclubs.
100% of the evening’s profits are being donated to charity. Specific charities are being carefully considered to maximize the use of the monies raised and will be announced in the coming days.
Sounds like fun…for a great cause. That’s a wonderful combination. As someone who went to the moe. & Friends tsunami benefit last year, these things are usually amazing.
