Dead & Company rolled through yet another New York stop last night with Night #7 of their Summer Tour 2021. The band played at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York and delivered two more great sets to notch on their belt since returning from the live music industry hiatus.

The show started with a nice “Shakedown Street” that had Bobby feeling it early, and the energy ramped up even more with a ripping “Bertha” to follow. The folksy side came through next with “Peggy-O” and “Me and My Uncle” before the band brought back another version of “They Love Each Other” on the tour, a really solid play for D&C. “West L.A. Fadeaway” was real soulful and relaxed, and the “Bird Song” to close the set was wild and really exploratory. The end got really wild.
For set two, the band played “Let The Good Times Roll” to kick things off before an absolutely stunning segment of the show: “Scarlet Begonias > Help on the Way > Slipknot > Fire on the Mountain” was incredible. Following the “Drums/Space” section of the show, the band brought it up to a “Cumberland Blues” ramble before letting everyone catch their breath on “Days Between.” The killer set two closer of “Not Fade Away” followed before the band sent everyone back to their cars following the “Black Muddy River” encore.
