UPDATE: the band has confirmed a full summer tour!
Dead and Company will definitely be gearing up for a big 2019 and keeping that spirit of the Grateful Dead alive and well while all the founding members (sans Phil Lesh) are in fact, alive and well! The touring juggernaut of Bob Weir, John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann are following up some great tours in recent years with more new shows next year, which is always a great sign that the band is feeling good and everyone is healthy.
Not much surprise here given that the band has already had a big 2019 date on the calendar for a few months now (Playing in the Sand 2019 is their destination festival in Mexico at Riviera Maya), but some new dates have started to leak out and it looks like Dead and Company’s tour announcement is due up any minute now! The dates for the band’s return to Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado on CU’s campus were confirmed and posted this weekend on the band’s Reddit channel. And for a large portion of the weekend, the CUBUFFS.com site had the the official announcement that you can see a screenshot of below.
Well there you have it, July 5th and 6th…leaked. We’ll have an update here when it’s actually confirmed.
People have also been sleuthing and found some evidence of a return to Camden on or around June 20th, 2019. Better get those hotel rooms reserved, people! We’ll post anything else we can find as it becomes available.
