In the totally typical jamband fashion, there were intense collaborations the past couple days. Eddie Vedder joined Dave Matthews for a Dave and Friends set at the CEO of Real Network’s wedding. This seems a little random for this to go down there, but it’s not much different from when Phish made their “comeback” to let people know that they can still drunk at parties and play music (edit: which was exactly 420 days after the start of the hiatus, scroll to the bottom). Also on jambands.com, Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers Band, Vida Blue) sat in with Umphrey’s McGee while in Cincinnati, OH. These guys just wrapped up a slamming tour, and I’ve got my NYE tickets coming in the mail as we speak. The Herbert Wiser Band might be playing an after party near the Double Door. I’ll keep all the readers posted.
