If you’re in New York City today, you should check out the free CBGB benefit concert at Washington Square Park. It’s got a super name of sponsors, including Little Steven himself, so you know it’s legit. Seriously though, there are some great bands coming together to try and raise money to save CBGB from the fate that just might befall them yet.
It’s funny, because this plot is oddly similar to Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo. You know what happens in the end? They break-dance and save their community center from certain destruction. I can only hope the fate of CBGB lies in the hands of all the break-dancin’, Boogaloo freaks at Washington Square Park.
