Bruce Springsteen has just announced a new album due out soon called Western Stars.
The legendary songwriter has been mostly busy in New York City with his Springsteen on Broadway run, but recently took to social media to tease some art work of famous scenes out West. Clearly all teasing the new album and now the name makes perfect sense.
Bruce says that “this record is a return to my solo recordings featuring character driven songs and sweeping, cinematic orchestral arrangements” and went on to say that it’s “a jewel box of a record.” NPR is saying that the record “will be largely influenced by the Southern California pop sounds of the late ’60s and early ’70s.”
The new album Western Stars is out June 14 and the first single will be released Friday, April 26th.
