Boyd Tinsley just announced that he will be taking a break from Dave Matthews Band as well as the band’s upcoming 2018 tour. Earlier this evening, a message was posted on Twitter saying “Sorry I have been away for awhile. I’ve been wrestling with a decision.” Uh oh.
“Before I talk about me I hope that all are well and sending extra love to those who are in need. #muchLove”
Shortly thereafter, Tinsley posted that he had an announcement to make and dropped this huge news onto his fans:
I need to take a break from the band & touring 2 focus on my family & my health 4 a while. I will miss you guys & my brothers in the band but I’m somewhat worn out & need 2 spend more time with my family & 2 bring more balance to my life. Thanks 4 ur Love. #peaceandLoVE
The band released a statement today via Facebook saying the following:
Boyd has been a member of the family since the band began and we want him to focus on his health and get better. We support his decision to do this and we’re sending positive thoughts his way.
