Bottle Rock Napa Valley Festival: Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, Furthur, Flaming Lips & More

A brand new music and arts festival is in the works for the West Coast this May — The Bottle Rock Napa Valley Music and Arts Festival. The three-day event will take place in Napa Valley, CA on May 10th-12th with tickets going on sale in early February. The first six acts were just announced as The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, Cake, The Flaming Lips, Ben Harper and Mavis Staples. The event promises 40+ bands, 300+ wineries, 100’s of culinary choices, 13 of the funniest people in comedy, and North Bay brewers. The organizers will release five more bands each day this week on San Francisco’s @KFOG Radio. Looks like one-helluva debut event for Northern California.

As one of our festival-going contributors @JasonSpang pointed out, it’ll be interesting to see how traffic will be dealt with in the valley. There is only one road in and one road out. Big Cypress anyone?
