Late in the week came the surprise announcement that John Mayer and Dave Chappelle were teaming up for a pair of shows at The Fillmore in San Francisco. They had even kicked things off with a little sit-in at the Hollywood Improv:

Last night the show was going off as planned, which included a strict ban on cellphones (which is why you don’t see too much Instagram coverage except for people taking photos of their tickets), and according to John Mayer’s very own Twitter account, things got interesting when they welcomed a sit-in by Mayer’s Dead & Company bandmate Bob Weir.
