Following Little Richard‘s passing yesterday a huge slew of artists paid their respects in various ways. We were particularly floored when we read what Bob Dylan had to say about his death at the age of 87 of cancer.
It begins with him noting that he is “so grieved” and said that Little Richard was his “shining star and guiding light back when I was only a little boy.” For someone as legendary as Dylan to say that he “was the original spirit that moved me to do everything I would do,” I mean we understand it intellectually but it’s especially poignant to see Dylan admit that.
