Some unexpectedly awesome news hit our inbox this morning — Guitarist-composer, Bill Frisell will release an album of new material on June 18th appropriately titled Big Sur. Big Sur is a region in California, one of it’s most beautiful, with almost 90 miles of scenic coastline from Santa Cruz to Santa Barbara. The album features an hour of original music, with 19 compositions that reference the coastal-mountain area. Be sure and check out the 15-minute documentary on the making of Big Sur and the entire tracklisting (incl. a song called “We All Love Neil Young”) with a tour in support.
